Mona Jean 'Molly' Bartel

Mona Jean 'Molly' Bartel, 92, of Sarver, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg. Born Feb. 26, 1924, in Harrison Township, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Lizzie Jones Adams. Molly was a homemaker who enjoyed puzzles, embroidery and ceramics. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Englebert Bartel, who died March 2, 1975; three brothers, Eugene, Evan and Martin; and five sisters, Rachel, Mary, Delores, Greta and Barb. She is survived by two sons, Daniel Bartel (Judy), of Gilpin Township, and Dennis Bartel (Deborah), of Buffalo Township; three daughters, Monajean McCracken (Tom), of Winfield Township, Virginia Walmsley (Clarence), of Winfield Township, and Beverly Bartel, of Winfield Township; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with interment at Mt. Airy Cemetery, Harrison Township.
