Phillip J. Stapinsky, 30, of Natrona Heights (Harrison Township), passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison Township, after a six-month battle with cancer. He was born July 19, 1987, in Harrison Township, the son of Carolyn Stapinsky. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2009, and was a member of St. Josephs Parish, St Ladislaus Worship site, Natrona. He was a member of the Polish Falcons and enjoyed trading stocks. He was an avid Penquins, Steelers and Eagles fan. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Stapinsky, of Harrison; stepfather fianc, Wade Kendrick, of Harrison; stepbrothers, Mick Kendrick (Lisa Marie), of Butler, and Casey Kendrick, of Butler; maternal grandmother, Nelle Stapinsky, of Brackenridge; stepnieces, Mallory, Mazie and Maeryn; aunts, Karen Bazin, of Manassas, Va., and Patricia Jefferies (Bill), of Hinton, W.Va.; and five cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Lewis Stapinsky; and uncles, Lewis James Stapinsky and Jeff Bazin. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018, at KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, at St. Joseph's Parish, St. Ladislaus Worship Site, with his pastor, the Rev. John Lendvai, officiating. Interment is private.
