Chester G. Hetrick, 87, of Natrona Heights, husband of 62 years of Lois June (Hoover) Hetrick, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at Fair Winds Manor Skilled Nursing Home, Winfield Township. He was in the nursing home for two months. He was born Dec. 27, 1930, in Fawn Township. He lived in this area all his life and graduated from Tarentum High School in 1950. He was a brick and block layer, employed by Freeport Brick Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was the son of the late Harry Hetrick and the late Verna Confer. He was a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church, Tarentum. He enjoyed woodworking and cooking. He was a handyman and worked on the church. Survivors include two sons, Harry Hetrick (Linda), of Sagamore, and Chester Hetrick Jr. (Kimberly), of Lower Burrell; four daughters, Karen Palmer (Mike), of Dundee, Ohio, Janet Hetrick, of Massillon, Ohio, Elaine Hetrick, of Harrison Township, and Carla Hill (Warren), of Plains, Mont.; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathleen Bertolini, of New Kensington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Verna Confer Hetrick; daughter, Kathy Hetrick; grandson, Nathan Hetrick; two brothers, Albert Hetrick and Irven Scholl; and three sisters, Edith Weidenhoff, Tessie Martz and Hazel Mehal. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, in the KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at the funeral home with the Rev. David Duvall, his pastor. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
