Shirley J. Spohn

Shirley J. Spohn, 73, formerly of Harrison Township, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2016. She was the widow of Earl F. Spohn who died Jan. 2, 1990. She was born May 22, 1943, in New Kensington, a daughter of the late Clarence Shannon and Ruth McIntire, and lived most of her life in area. She was a homemaker who graduated from New Ken High School. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed watching TV. She is survived by three daughters, Debra Kunicki, of Sarver, Diane Cebula (Michael), of Harrison Township, and Christine Hawk (Michael), of Winfield Township; son, Daniel Spohn, of Vandergrift; and six grandchildren, Robin and Renee Cebula, Ashley, Brittany and Casey Thompson and Alyssa Kunicki. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Shannon. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., where a blessing service will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. John Lendvai officiating.
