Robert V. Panian, 84, of Sarver, died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at home, after a five-year illness. He was born June 2, 1934, in New Kensington, and lived in this vicinity all of his life. He graduated from New Kensington High School, and was a steelworker for Braeburn Steel, retired after working 30 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed the meetings with his friends at Freehling's service station. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Donahue (Raymond), of Sarver; three grandchildren, Joseph Donahue, Amand Crocker, and Erin Craig; four great-grandchildren, Olivia Crocker, Lillian Crocker, Avery Donahue and Layne Donahue; and two brothers, Andrew Panian, of Harrison Township, and Donald Panian, of Murrysville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie M. (Ehrmentrout) Panian, who died April 20, 2008; and his parents, Andrew M. and Florence Malick Panian.
