Megan Marie (Bartel) Shirley

Megan Marie (Bartel) Shirley, 36, of Sarver, died Monday, March 6, 2017,of a brain tumor, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Winfield Township. She was born Aug. 12, 1980, in Harrison Township. She attended Career Training Academy, New Kensington, and worked for Family Health Services, Ford City, as a medical assistant for two years. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church, Fawn Township. She enjoyed spending time with family, including her niece and nephews. She is survived by her parents, Dennis and Debbie McIntyre Bartel, of Buffalo Township; a sister, Melissa (Anthony) Scalamogna, of Buffalo Township; a niece, Ashley (Zach) Carroll; and two nephews, Brendan Aber and Josh Scalamogna. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Mona Jean Bartel and Marie McIntyre. Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 9, in the KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, in the funeral home, with her pastor, the Rev. C. Drew Myers officiating. Burial will be in Sarverville Cemetery, Sarver.
