Lois J. Porter, 87, of Collins, Miss., formerly of Natrona Heights, Harrison Township, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Jefferson Davis Hospital Extended Care Facility, Prentiss, Miss., after a lengthy illness. She was born April 21, 1930, in Brackenridge and lived in this area most of her life before moving to Mississippi in July 2017. Lois graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1947. She worked in admissions and insurance at Allegheny Valley Hospital and retired in 1988 after 20 years. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Tarentum, and had served as deacon of church. She had served as president and vice president of the PTA and was a past member of the Dreshar Club. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin C. Jack Sr. and Coretta Viola Crytzer; husband, Samuel Porter Jr., who died Feb. 20, 1999; brother, Melvin (Bud) Jack Jr.; two sisters, Phyllis Jack and Georgette Kisel; and daughter, Bonnie Porter. She is survived by a son, Samuel J. Porter (Bonnie), of Collins, Miss.; four grandchildren, Samuel Porter Jr., Eric Porter, Kristen Seminick and Carl White; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018, at KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, with the Rev.
