Isabelle D. Burford

Isabelle D. Burford, 91, of Brackenridge, formerly of Creighton, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, in Good Samaritan Hospice, after a lengthy illness. She was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Curtisville, to the late Frank and Hazel Miller Yates. She was a homemaker, and worked for senior citizens and as a help aide for Upjohn of Pittsburgh for 5 years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, and growing flowers in her garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Burford, on Sept. 5, 1982; four grandchildren, Melissa Gamble, Carol Negley, Christopher Burford and Jerry Burford. She is survived by six sons, James Burford, of Fort Scott, Kan., David (Vicki) Burford, of Hubert, N.C., Lester (Cheryl) Burford Jr., of Leechburg, Robert Burford, of Natrona, Samuel Burford, of Creighton, and Timothy (Bridget) Burford, of Tarentum; five daughters, Edna Burford, of Indiana, Pa., Mrs. Charles (Diane) Armstrong, of Marionville, Pa., Mrs. Arthur (Bonnie) Gamble, of Oklahoma, Pa., Linda Jones, of Natrona, and Mrs. Dennis (Trude) Jones, of Tarentum; 32 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, in the KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, where funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, with the Rev.
