Dorothy J. Voeckel

Dorothy J. Voeckel, 92, of West Deer Township, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Winfield Township, following six months of care in Concordia Lutheran Ministries. She was born March 18, 1924, in West Deer Township, a daughter of the late Clyde and Elsie Norris Schroder. A lifelong resident of West Deer Township, she was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Unity Presbyterian Church, Fawn Township. She enjoyed sewing, researching family history, and genealogy. She is survived by a son, Kirk Russell Voeckel (Lisa), of West Deer Township. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Voeckel, on June 11, 2006; and four sisters, Marie Dick, Wilda Highfield, Mildred Spencer, and Glenna Stark. Family will receive friends from 2 until the time of service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, in the KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC, 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights (724-224-8778), with her pastor, the Rev.
