Betty L. Thompson

Betty L. Thompson, 79, of Brackenridge, died at 5:10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at Platinum Ridge Personal Care, Brackenridge, after a lengthy illness. She was born Nov. 5, 1941, in Pittsburgh, and lived in this area since 1997. She was employed as a coordinator of senior services for Allegheny Valley Library from June 2005 to 2017. She was a daughter of the late G. Gilbert Nichols and Betty L. Logan. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Oakmont. She was active in church, as lay Eucharistic minister and on Altar Guild at St. Barnabas Episcopal, Brackenridge. Also, she enjoyed horses and being with her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie J. Boehm, of Harrison Township, and Deborah L. Thompson, of New Kensington; two grandchildren, Shannon K. Boehm and Joshua D. Boehm; and brother, David G. Nichols, of West Deer Township. She was preceded in death by her parents, G. Gilbert and Betty L. Logan Nichols; and sister, Joyce Mendoza. The family has requested that there be no public visitation and services will be private.
